55 Trash disposal. A competitor shall not intentionally put trash in the water. This rule applies at all times while afloat. The penalty for a breach of this rule may be less than disqualification.

Safety tip of the day

When jumping into the water, step away from the boat and leave your legs spread front and back. This keeps you away from the hull of the boat and reduces the distance you will go into the water.
