Month: February 2019

More progress – not too long to go now…

Posted on February 2, 2019 by Robert Dunn

Lots of things starting to come together now – not the least of which is the bowsprit which really looks nice.

Racing rules of sailing

24.2 If reasonably possible, a boat shall not interfere with a boat that is taking a penalty, sailing on another leg or subject to rule 22.1 (keeping clear whilst returning to behind the line in pre-start). However, after the starting signal this rule does not apply when the boat is sailing her proper course.

Safety tip of the day

If you are in a group in the water, use your harnesses to clip yourselves together. This will prevent fatigue and potentially people drifting away from the group.
