Racing rules of sailing

Proper course - A course a boat would sail to finish as soon as possible in the absence of the other boats referred to in the rule using the term.

Safety tip of the day

If you are one of many people in the water, form as large a group as you can. This makes you more visible, can help reduce heat loss, and improves morale.
