Racing rules of sailing

54. Forestays and headsail tacks. Forestays and headsail tacks, except those of spinnaker staysails when the boat is not close-hauled, shall be attached approximately on a boat’s centreline.

Safety tip of the day

If you need to wear glasses to be able to see properly, make sure they are tied to your head if you have to abandon ship.
