Racing rules of sailing

AT MARKS AND OBSTRUCTIONS Section C rules do not apply at a starting mark surrounded by navigable water or at its anchor line from the time boats are approaching them to start until they have passed them.

Safety tip of the day

When jumping into the water, step away from the boat and leave your legs spread front and back. This keeps you away from the hull of the boat and reduces the distance you will go into the water.
