Racing rules of sailing

49.2 If the class rules do not specify the material or minimum diameter of lifelines, they shall comply with the corresponding specifications in the World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations.

Safety tip of the day

When lifting someone into a liferaft who is wearing a life jacket, 'bounce' them into the water twice to generate lift to help pull them aboard.
