Racing rules of sailing

1.2 - A boat shall carry adequate life-saving equipment for all persons on board, including one item ready for immediate use, unless her class rules make some other provision. Each competitor is individually responsible for wearing a personal flotation device adequate for the conditions.

Safety tip of the day

If you are one of many people in the water, form as large a group as you can. This makes you more visible, can help reduce heat loss, and improves morale.
